Choosing the idol
Choose a clay idol that suits the size of your home and the number of days you will keep it. Eco-friendly clay idols dissolve easily in a bucket at home.
Installing the idol
Clean the platform and decorate it with flowers and mango leaves. Install the idol at the muhurat your Pandit gives and perform the prana pratishtha and shodashopachara pooja.
Daily pooja and visarjan
Offer durva, red flowers and modak each day and perform aarti morning and evening. On the final day, perform an uttara pooja, aarti and visarjan.
